At about 10:40PM (EDT) Mariah laid her second egg. Here’s a picture shortly after the event:

That’s a bit sooner than her average egg-laying rate of about 54 hours, coming just a bit more than 50 hours after her first, but no one at the Rochester Falconcam is complaining!

Great news!! One could say I am eggstatic…………..
This is my first year watching. THis is great. I knew something was up watching Mariah yesterday, and now, I see it was her second egg. Love the camera views and the stories to go along with them. Thanks for the note on how to tell them apart.
This is the first time that I have watched the Peregrine on the Kodak building and it is fantastic to see. It’s hard enough for me in her in the UK to do any work and stop watching them so it must be even harder for the people working in the Kodak building itself. Thank you for an excellent website
My students gave rambunctious cheers as they came by the computer this morning on my desk and noticed Mariah’s second egg! We read up on Kavar and Mariah every Tuesday and Thursday during our lab time. Furthermore, we keep your website up in the classroom throughout the day. What a wonderful way for students to gain further respect and love for nature!
WOW!!! I haven’t been on this site n like 2 or 3 years. I will check a lot more now!
Thanks for the awesome web-site

I hope the baby birds will be very beautiful and healthy.
That previous message is from the Mystery Clue Club Students at Henry Hudson School #28!
I introduced your website to my second graders last year and they are all watching with great expectation again this year. My new class is beginning to share the excitement, too. Love your new imprint section. (very educational)
Just to say thank you again, my school is allowing us access on the school computer to follow the progress of Mariah & Kaver once a day!. Everyone loves it and we are doing our best to learn as much as we can. My Gran even lets me look at her bird books!
Welcome to everyone, and especially to all of the teachers and students who are following Mariah and Kaver on the Rochester Falconcam! We’re very pleased to have you all joining us.
If we get two more eggs over the next 4 days; then I guess the hatch out will be around May 4. I look for the eyas to be watching RedWings Baseball and calling for the squab vendor on May 5.
IF SHE IS NOW SITTING ON THE EGG’S–IS SHE ALL DONE LAYING FOR THIS YEAR??
i love them sooo much
To Mrs.Smith no third egg yet she was dou lastnight!?!
Shouldn’t we be seeing egg #3 by now?
