Mariah First Egg 2007
Mother and egg appear to be doing just fine! We’re all very excited to see how many eggs she’s going to lay this year. Watch for more information about Peregrine egg-laying behavior in an upcoming article.

Celebrations on both sides of the Atlantic!
I figured it had to be soon, since the couple in Harrisburg (for those who do not know yet: http://www.dep.state.pa.us/dep/falcon/ 🙂 had their first egg yesterday and the two pairs are pretty much in synch.

    Hi Jess,
Why isn’t she laying on it? I noticed that this morning she was outside of the box. I thought that they laid on them continously once she had them.

AlisonL (no relation) in Cleveland posted this picture to show the egg came already at 8:11 pm.

Has Mariah’s leg which she hurt last year healed OK? It was of great concern to many of us watching her struggle with her injury.

Jess, I am really excited this year with your very informative journal of imprints. This new web site is the best ever. I was also surprised to see the News Flash addition. Love it. How could one miss not learning about the Peregrines. Keep up your great work!

  15. Cathy Says:

I think she just laid another egg, that would be 6 if the 5th one hadn’t disappeaed.

  16. Betty Anne Riley Says:

Thanks so much for the new format!!!!! Much better — more informative and not necessary to have all the individual “chit chat.”
