Morning Falcon Watch 11-1-15

It had just finished raining as I started my watch with overcast, windy conditions and a temperature of 54 (F) 12 (C)
Billie and Seth were on the north window ledge across from each other as I first saw them from the north end of my parking lot and then from East Ridge Rd. They seemed pretty settled so I didn’t stay very long.

When I arrived downtown on the Andrews St. bridge just after 7am, I spotted Beauty on the northeast side top I-beam of OCSR. I drove around to Bragdon Place for a better angle of her. She flew off just after I got there heading northeast.
A few minutes later I came across both Beauty and Dot.ca (DC) on Widows Walk (WW). He was on the northeast corner and she was on the north side just a few feet away from him. A minute or so later DC flew over to the chimney on Irving Place where Beauty had been eating yesterday and started picking at the leftovers.
A minute later Beauty flew off and took over the spot DC had just been on the corner of WW and she had prey with her that she started plucking feathers from. DC finished the scraps he was eating then flew over by the Beautyful one and proceeded to decide on the best way to grab some food from his mate.
DC made 2 attempts at snagging a piece of Beauty’s breakfast and on the 3rd try he managed to get a little piece.
DC made quick work of it and went in and stole another tiny tidbit before making one last pass by her ending up a few feet away from Beauty as she finished it off.

Beauty turned around and that’s when I left the parking lot next to Times Square to observe them from Fitzhugh St. north of WW. They both started feaking and cleaning themselves up and looking quite adorable.

They were being so cute up there together as they kept watching something below them.
I watched them for a while longer and when it seemed they were settled in for a while I left them just around 8am.
I checked out Hawkeye, Medley Center and Seneca Towers but never saw another PEFA, therefore ending my watch at 8:45am. I did so with a smile on my face after seeing 4 of our Rochester Peregrine Falcons safe and sound! 🙂

These were some great shots of Billie/Seth as well as Beauty and DC.I enjoy seeing them together.It is interesting to me how they stay so committed and close to each other. Hope they continue together.
