Weekend Watch Report and Pictures – 6/27

From Lou

Dana and I were on official watch this morning. We saw a lot flying by the adults and there was at least one feeding. Jemison did her hop-flights across the ledges of the building a few times today, but never really fledged off the building during the day. Callidora did a lot of flapping and practicing too! I got a few interesting shots and have included them in the attached album (click on the falcon pic to see this album). I also included another album of some ‘fun’ shots of watchers and other various things in the city from this weekend. (click on the below pic.)

Lou, great shots of the falcon family. Beauty is doing all the right things to get the young ones to fly, they just aren’t buying into yet. For an out of towner like me, I can now see that the parents have many vantage points on the TS building to keep an eye on the kids.

    Thanks!

Wonderful bird collection and good captions. Especially “come and get it”. Also enjoyed putting some faces to names here.

Lou, Thanks twice…for the wonderful lesson in flying Falcon style. Amazing pictures (and captions). Thanks also for the pictures of “watchers” and the many pictures of Rochester today and yesterday. Those of us far away(I’m on Cape Cod NOT so far, but at 78 I don’t travel easily any more and appreciate the chance to travel on my computer) get a better idea of JUST where our fave falcons are. ANd aren’t they amazing?…What great parents !!!
    Double Thanks !!
