Carol, thank you so much for the report! And given the location of the Statler, weekends can be brutal trying to find our birds! I went last weekend and got totally messed up in all the St Patrick's Day traffic jams. Did you check the old Holcim, now CHR? That site is perfect and has a cam but so far, no activity.

At Central Terminal today, Diamante' flew from a high lookout point around the corner and took a rest on the other side of the arch. He just looked so handsome there I wanted to post him. You can see the green on his band in the middle pic. Gleig would be inside the box incubating their FOUR EGGS! As checked on by DEC techs this morning. Ok, pix won't post so maybe Donna can grab them for me. These pix were taken by me; the earlier ones here are Roger's.

Hi Guys! Roger is registering so he can post pix of wonderful Diamante' and Gleig. I was pretty much out of commission last season and I'm trying to do better this year. Everything seems good at Central Terminal so far. They are in heat this week so we will have eggs very soon! Unfortunately there is no cam so our signal that incubation has begun will be when Gleig is tucked away in the scrape!
uh oh, Roger was rejected because of his gmail address, so he's digging out his old yahoo email info.

Hi guys! It took me a couple days to get back on here. It kept telling me there was no such username as ~Sage~. So Buffalo has EGG #1 from Dixie and Yankee at UB! We may have other eggs in the Buffalo area, but with no cams, who knows? Dix & Yankee at it again! Here is our newest nest box located in Dunkirk, already claimed by a female. A male has also been seen there so we are hoping for a successful nesting! Nest can be seen from Dunkirk Harbor where it's best to have a scope or long lens, and also closer spots which give more of a side view. The Dunkirk female can be seen perched to the right of the box. Turkey Vultures also seem to love that stack. Anxious to see how that will play out.

Other Nature Related Information / Falcon Web Cams / Dunkirk has a new Nestbox!

DEC has installed a new nestbox at the Dunkirk NPG (?) facing southeast on tallest stack by the walkway. A female has been hanging around there for quite a while and was present when box was installed. According to the DEC, there is a possibility that the falcon could be Jean, ID'd by Joyce some time ago. Jean and a tiercel had been hanging around the old grain elevators nr Gallgher Beach, small boat harbor, Buffalo waterfront. 2013, after a possible failed nest there, they switched to Holcim, next bldg to the south. The female laid one egg in the Holcim nestbox but the male did not return, so she abandoned the egg. If any watchers want to visit, just go to the end of the dock, turn slightly to the left, there it is! (Map on FBPP) Wonder who her mate will be this spring...

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / ~Juvie pic taken at Montezuma~

Beautiful juvie Peregrine seen yesterday at Montezuma/Audubon. She has a huge area of waterfowl and other birdies all to herself apparently. Nearby Osprey and Bald Eagle go for the fish. I'm assuming this is the same pefa as reported in Genesee Birding recently. We were hoping to see her and thrilled that we did!
