Black Hawk down and then up and then down and then up................... Watched the medical corp of the 401st train on bringing wounded to the helicopter and then the Black Hawk taking off. So very cool!!! At 1:30 they're going to train, exploding a humvee and then doing a rescue. Going back soon. This is all taking place at the Greece Town Hall near the library.

Are there no Cockatiel smilies? Lucky and Justice are feeling left out. In fact, I need to get their pictures over on the Watchers Pets section.

This from WHAM News:
If you see or hear some army equipment in the Town of Greece on Saturday, don't worry, it's only for a drill.
The 401st Civil Affairs Battalion will be conducting a training mission in the Town of Greece.
Town Supervisor John Auberger says the Webster based Army Reserve unit chose Greece because of its infrastructure and amenities.
WHAM News asked Auberger what people will be seeing as part of this mission.
He says, "helicopters will bring in the troops on Saturday morning on the 12th, and they will go through their training exercises utilizing everything within the Town of Greece."
Auberger says soldiers will be on site at places like Greece Athena High School, Kodak Park, and Park Ridge Hospital.
This is all in an effort to help the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion which specializes in rebuilding efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Just wanted to warn those that are thinking of coming down to Kodak Park today for a Mariah Watch. Not sure how this will affect us.

There is a Kodaker that works in the building across the street that is keeping an eye on the taller research bldg (#83). No recent reports. I don't think she was actually hanging out there. I think she's been hunting in that area and roosting somewhere else. Possibly she's found a nice spot in the nearby gorge. Carol P. Do any Kodaker's know anyone who works in that big building in the area where she last seemed to be hanging out? How about enrolling the local resident who welcomed some of you to look at her a few weeks ago? He sounded interested.
