Rfalconcam: The #ROC #peregrine eyas wing feathers have reached paintbrush stage! The keratin sheath around the feathers will eventually break down and let them fully fill out!
Rfalconcam: The #ROC #peregrine adults will also lay out in the sun with their wings spread. They are fine! Research indicates it's feather maintenance...helping to get rid of feather mites!
Rfalconcam: Now that it's getting warmer and sunshine fills the nest box, Nova will stand in front of the eyases and spread her wings, this way protecting her young from the hot sun. cp #roc #peregrine #falcon
