My daughter took in a stray, but already has 3 cats in a small place, so I agreed to take him.  He's about 1-2yrs old and really aggressive toward my other 2 cats.  I had him neutered last week and have been keeping him separate from my male and female cats.  Anyone have any advice on things to do to ease his aggression towards the other cats?  Thanks! happy

http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/cats/tips/introducing_new_cat.html  Try this Patricia. Some people just throw a new cat into the mix but that is wrong. Has to be a slow process. My daughter's cat was new here and she and my Sam hated each other. We tried everything to get them to be civil, (didn't work). Mimi, new cat ended up in my daughter's room for 8 years. Both Sam and Mimi were dominant and hated, I mean hated each other. They fought through the closed door. Not easy but it can be done. Good luck.

Thanks, Donna! I am trying to read everything I can on the subject-willing to give anything a try! Keeping my fingers crossed I don't have to keep them permanently separated-wow 8 years you kept them apart!
