It's always good to remember those who awakened both the general public and the scientists to the effects of DDT on the environment, particularly raptors.
Every time I go to Hawk Mountain in PA and see the photos of hunters knee deep in dead migrating raptors, I remember other scientists and conservationists who helped bring an end to the slaughter.
