There is but corporations are greedy for profit and people are spoiled and want to have a flight available when they want it.  It's really not necessary at all in this day and age.

For Business now we have Skype and other video tools so flying is not really required anymore so often if at all.  Planes are half empty most of the time save for a few transatlantic flights that are full and that's only on weekends.  There is a reason airlines are always in financial trouble, they run near empty planes so the other guy doesn't get a jump on them - do we really need every airline on the planet flying into NYC?  No we don't - that's what connecting flights are for.

With the advent of cheap flights, people have gotten more demanding but quite frankly their needs and wants shouldnt' outweigh those of the environment and the species that suffer as a result of our greed.  There is always a better way but the almighty buck seems to rule everything.  Our own stupidity is going to be the death of us.

Seems to counter productive to spend time an resources on birds when airports are slaughtering thousands of them at a time.   This article makes me more ashamed to be human than ever.

scared blue This death total is since 2009, so the mass shootings have been going on now 8 or 9 years. There really does have to be a better way.
