The tour continues, with a few stops on a small island in Lake Erie before entering the US.  Next stop Rochester?

I saw that on the map!  She seems to be a smart falcon though.  She flew by all our nest sites and didnt' get into any trouble and she could easily have taken some of the older females here given her young age. She's obviously not in any hurry to settle in.

I think she is checking out all her options before she chooses the one she wants. I do not want anyone to get hurt. But it would be so cool if she'd pick someplace we could watch her with a cam.

and Rochester would be the best place sorry couldn't help myself

Montreal is wonderful in the Spring.  So is Ottowa.  Why not do them both?

If Quest should get into a territorial dispute, would her transmitter harness be a hinderance to her?

I have absolutely no expertise on which to base this answer, but it seems like the harness could actually protect her body from puncture wounds.  Yes, it adds a bit of weight, but her muscles should have adapted to it long ago.

The experts have indicated in the past that the transmitter shouldn't interfere with copulation...

Patti - that makes so much sense concerning puncture wound protection - a LOT of sense  2thumbsup

Seems like she is checking things out for a mate & nestsite territory.  I want to see her find a mate and convince him to come back to Lennox or Prince Edward Point.

Next weekend will be close or into the 70's with SW winds.  That means migration! Maybe quest will pick-up a wandering tiercel, and voila! she settles down.  I think that's our best chance without agression.
