Approximately 30 people were on hand to watch as four young peregrine falcons were banded June 7 at Great River Energy’s Elk River campus. The birds hatched May 14-15. Xcel biologist Dan Orr and Great River Energy Administrative Assistant Brenda Hoskyns went up in a cherry picker to retrieve the four chicks from a nesting box built by a Boy Scout in 2006.  (continued)
