I think a lot of you are familiar with Alice the Great-Horned Owl and Alice's "owner" and friend, Karla Bloem, who is also the Director of the Nature Center. Well, the site for the Great-Horned Owl Breeding Project, is up and running and the cams are great! The two owls in place are Rusty and Iris and they are wonderful! They have been chosen because they can't be released -- both are blind in their right eyes -- and they get along well. They have already fostered a little G-H Owl successfully, so all have their fingers crossed!! The offspring will stay in the protection of the Center for a whole year, so the possibilities for watching will be great! Anyway, to make this a success, there should be more people visiting the site - you can't lose, as there are Great-Horned Owls!!!! Here is the URL for Alice's Blog, in case you're not familiar with it - you will soon be addicted, I promise:
http://www.alicetheowl.blogspot.com/
and for the Breeding Project:

Please come and support Karla in all the hard work she does!!
Oh yes, you can participate in the Owl Sounds study Karla is doing, by reporting any owl sounds you hear!! Get involved! It's fun and I know that Karla would appreciate all the help she can get!!
See you over there soon!
