South Western PA! Wildlife webcam 4 is currently streaming from an owl box setup in a remote location to attract eastern screech owls. Our owl project consists of 5 screech owl boxes all wired with small IR camera. We have recently been seeing a red phased eastern screech owl roosting during the day in owl box #2 which we have named "Hunter". The other owl boxes have been used for food caching. The screech owls sometimes kill small rodents like mice or shrews and will store this food in a box for a 24-hour period where it will return to eat it.
Our plan is to attract a mating pair and broadcast all of this live over the Internet for educational purposes. We will switch the live feeds around to which ever box is more active on a given day.
