COURT HOUSE – With the days getting longer and spring drawing nearer, many New Jersey residents may be thinking it's time to call it a winter and stop filling their birdfeeder.

“Don’t do it!” emphasized Pete Dunne, Director of the Cape May Bird Observatory and Chief Communications officer for New Jersey Audubon. “Late winter is precisely the time that winter bird populations face their greatest food challenge,” he explained.

Late winter offers the least amount of natural food sources so keep filling those feeders!  Grin
