Here's a 1950s artist's rendering of 44 Exchange Street, directly across from the Times Square Building.  I worked in this building for five years in the 1980s.  It's now on the National Register of Historic Places, probably because it typifies 1950s American architecture.  Personally, it's not my style.  https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10151391938326569&set=a.282378736568.139929.251790736568&type=1&theater
