Help - bird ID please!
«

Ok, Nora in IA here, but the birds are at a friends house in
ABERDEEN, NORTH CAROLINA
. She was leaning towards some type of vireo, but I was thinking more like a yellow warbler or something? Looking at my bird book they seemed to "round" for a vireo? I told her I'd check with some of my bird buddies on it. Any help is appreciated and thanx, Nora
P.S. It looks like there might be a thin yellow bar at the bottom of the wing and too stripy on the front for goldfinches. Also seems to have a bit of eye ring and darker area near the eye.

They look like female Pine Warblers, I'd say. This
link
takes you to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's ID page for that species. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, there's a pic of a female for comparison.
Nice little birds.
