Thanks for posting this, Jeanne. I feel privileged that some of these wonderful birds have chosen downtown Rochester as their summer and fall home. They are beautiful, and fascinating to watch, as their habits are different from the other birds.

We love to visit the zoo, particularly when the herons are about. I like it that one of the best exhibits
is voluntary and unofficial.
