The African-Eurasian Flyway – one of the most important migratory routes in the entire world – runs straight through Lebanon, and it is here that the journey ends for around 2.6 million birds as they are felled from the sky by irresponsible hunters.

I couldn't agree more! It's a great story but I sure hope Lebanon will stop the mass shootings of raptors so they are all safe migrating. The whole thing reminds me of the slaughter of raptors over nearby Hawk Mountain in days of yore, to say nothing of present-day Malta.
