Where do they both go when they aren't in the box? Shouldn't one be guarding it? Sorry I am new at this.

New topics on (the thread before it got moved here) get tweeted to all the watchers, so you might want to check out the links below, and then post in another forum.

A lot of information can be found here and on the falconcam discussion board

Frequently asked questions are answered here.

In general, they keep an eye on the nest from the various locations nearby, which we can't see on the camera - often there is one above the nest higher on the building...

They can, and have, adequately defended the nest, as recently as right after Beauty layed her first egg...
Lord G@rfalconcam 3 falcons battling over Chase tower.  A & B returned to TS nest after successful defense. Fem. Intruder nowhere to be seen.

Fear not... they're good parents...

And welcome to the group! Feel free to explore around, there's a ton of stuff here!

When you want to follow where they go when they are not in the nest, you can check to see if there are any falcon watch reports from the field on Twitter.  When we are out on watch, we try to let viewers know where the falcons are, since you can't see them.  Weekends we send more Tweets.  During the week they usually appear when watchers are out and about in the morning, at lunch and after work.
