Alexandra sits quietly on Kyle Holloway's gloved hand and arm. The female Great Horned Owl was one of two birds that visited Carman Elementary School on Oct. 29. Holloway, the owl, and Oscar the Peregrine Falcon are from the Canadian Peregrine Foundation in Toronto. Carman Elementary was one several visits for the trio. Holloway said the Foundation promotes awareness of raptor-type birds and endangered species. He also said 11-year-old Alexandra and 9-year-old Oscar were raised in capativity and later acquired by the Foundation.The school visiting program, Holloway said, is funded by the TD Bank.
