The National Guard Training in Greece, NY Today - Saturday, 9/12/09

This from WHAM News:
If you see or hear some army equipment in the Town of Greece on Saturday, don't worry, it's only for a drill.
The 401st Civil Affairs Battalion will be conducting a training mission in the Town of Greece.
Town Supervisor John Auberger says the Webster based Army Reserve unit chose Greece because of its infrastructure and amenities.
WHAM News asked Auberger what people will be seeing as part of this mission.
He says, "helicopters will bring in the troops on Saturday morning on the 12th, and they will go through their training exercises utilizing everything within the Town of Greece."
Auberger says soldiers will be on site at places like Greece Athena High School, Kodak Park, and Park Ridge Hospital.
This is all in an effort to help the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion which specializes in rebuilding efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Just wanted to warn those that are thinking of coming down to Kodak Park today for a Mariah Watch. Not sure how this will affect us.

Black Hawk down and then up and then down and then up...................
Watched the medical corp of the 401st train on bringing wounded to the helicopter and then the Black Hawk taking off. So very cool!!!
At 1:30 they're going to train, exploding a humvee and then doing a rescue. Going back soon.
This is all taking place at the Greece Town Hall near the library.
