I can't believe it's already here again!
Linwood Gardens is a private estate that opens to the public only from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the next Saturdays and Sundays, plus Memorial Day Monday. It has over 150 cultivars of tree peonies, Arts and Crafts architecture, European garden design, over 80 varieties of trees from around the world (my favorite are the Cedars of Lebanon), art and garden sculptures, a great view of the Genesee Valley and the tops of the valleys of the Finger Lakes (when it's clear), on an estate that serves as a wildlife sanctuary... just a beautiful, timeless retreat 35 miles southwest of Rochester. I know there are musicians coming to perform several of the early afternoons...
Here are
photos from last year - The Rochester Area Nature Photography Meetup Group has come out three years in a row (plus planning on coming this year), and has posted some fantastic pictures.
I've been going for 14 years... hope some of you get a chance to join me!
