a little baby bird this morning.....

I noticed my dog, Bentley, sniffing something in the kennel this morning.  It was a baby bird, perfectly formed, almost in a fetal position, dead.  Bentley was not the cause.  This little one had just the start of some feathers and its eyes were not open.  I think he dropped out of the nest in my eaves above.  Poor baby

Fly free, little bird.  We  mourn all of  you.  May you all meet somewhere and soar together!  At least that is what I envision and hope for all of youl (This includes my own parrots and  birds who have shared my life and my yard).
