Just wondering if the last egg is ever going to hatch or whether, because it hasn't yet, it is a lost cause.

Very likely it's not viable and will not hatch. I actually haven't seen them eat them. They usually just ignore it. If it doesn't break it will be collected at banding.

Obviously, we don't know for sure if it will hatch or not. Our best GUESS is that it will not.
