2:18 ish - Archer shows up to babysit and spends most of his time looking at the camera for help! Babies are hungry.

I'm hoping Shaky has this one recorded & can grab the clip...it was even more hysterical in live motion!
Yep, got it.

Someone shows up with a pigeon at 3:31, which Beauty promptly feeds to the little ones. At 3:41, he shows up with another pigeon (or is it just leftovers?), which they don't need, as they just ate. It gets cached under the Main Cam
(movie)
Beauty comes out later, at 4:57, and has supper.

I know, Ei-me too. He is clueless. Was Kaver ever like this? Is Beauty bringing in all the food today?

I don't know how Kaver was his first year...I first got here at fledge time 2004, his 3rd brood.
But I will say Archer's improving...he's actually staying now & TRYING to cover them instead of standing to the side then leaving. It looks like he wants to roll them like an egg but he knows he shouldn't...then when they're under he doesn't want to squish them!
I believe he's been bringing the food in & Beauty's been doing the feedings. He'll figure it out.

Now that I'm home & looking on a real monitor, I'm thinking the 3rd egg may not be good. I'm not giving up hope yet, but that spot does look strange. Only time will tell.

I think so too. Like it's oozing something and that's why everything is sticking to it. It's not good for her to be brooding it if it's bad, is it?

It shouldn't be a problem...lots of unhatched eggs in a lot of nests...Rhea Mae still has an unhatched egg in the scrape...

It's still too early to write off the 3rd egg, but I'm beginning to wonder too, if it might not hatch after all. No problem if it ends up being non-viable. 2 eyases for new parents is a great number.
