Never fear! Actually, folks are out a lot, watching even without the official calendar! Dan S has never signed up for a watch but he and MAK are out from about 5-5:30 AM and Carol is out after work until about 7. Brian is out during the day and then the rest of the gang is out during various times! We also have the "support personnel"-- people who work around the area and let the other watchers know if something is going on. We're really lucky to have such a group!
You don't know how lucky you guys are. Really.

After going to Toronto and seeing the buildings and the distance between nestboxes, we realized we were lucky here! Dan has been watching since Mariah and Cabot Scirrocco. I give MAK credit! I used to be out there early but just cannot seem to get going! She's been giving great reports!
I really wish Mariah would show herself definitively. We would happily keep track of her and her great grandbabies, as well! And actually watchers are keeping an eye out for her as it is

all you watchers, we haven't lost a falcon yet, well, except for the jail bird. - Donna

Well, technically she wasn't lost. She knew where she was. We on the other hand misplaced her for a bit.

Dan loved to watch Kaver hunt early in the morning. He would have a count of misses and hits by the time other Watchers would show up. "Kaver had two successful hunts out of 29 attempts!"

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Donna for without her my reports would not have been posted for all to see. Talk about dedication!!! I know she would be right out there with us day and night. I'd also like to thank her for all the informational stuff she finds and posts every single day! Kudos to you my friend!
I could not imagine finding a better team of watchers than what we have here in Rochester. Fun,decent folks with a wealth of experience and knowledge and always willing to answer questions from me. I've been very fortunate to see all that I've seen in my first year of watching. What else can I say...keep your eyes to the sky everybody!

Dan is amazing! Such a great guy! And those watches always give info. The Kaver hits/misses as Carol said and his accounts of Mariah and Cabot's tandem hunting. He also rescued Mary Ann, one of the rather large juvies. I think he told me he saw her on the ground on one of the roads near the smokestacks, got her and brought her to the desk at Kodak "here is one of your birds!"
We probably should have called him the Mayor of the bridge before he attained his "Mayor of Broad St" title!
