We've been getting those a LOT in Iowa this year, mornings and afternoons.  You know it's cold when it does that.  happy  That was really a complete one.

Usually it's morning or later afternoon as the sun starts setting, although I saw one this noon, not the whole ark, but the one off to the side.  Ice crystals in the air.   (ooops arc)

I saw one on the way home from work today as the the sun was setting.
