Question about Archer

I know many must be thinking about Archer and if he is going to return to Rochester.  If I'm not mistaken, isn't this the week or close to it, that he should be coming back.  It seems that Kaver came back around now.  What is the latest that Kaver came back? Just wondering...

I'll have to check my notes at home, but I believe Archer showed up last year after Tybropa-Cree had been here a week or 2 and then was sadly lost.  And I think T-C showed up after Kaver would normally have returned...

Kaver came back as late as March 7th a few years ago. I know because he gave me and Mary Tyson a great  present....his arrival! I miss him.

I miss him too, Donna and thanks for the answer to my question. I thought it was around this time that Kaver came back.  I looked back to last year and Archer showed up here around the 20th but who knows when or if he will return. Only time will give us that answer.

Is there a reason Archer hasn't come back yet? Maybe he never established Rochester as his territory? If no male passes through in the next few weeks, will Beauty go off looking for a mate or will she just hang out and terrorize the Rochester Pigeon population? I'm just not getting this whole thing with these falcons. 2 yrs in a row and I'm still a wreck!

Obviously, there is still time for her to find a mate and lay a few eggs...but sheesh...come on!! Mariah probably has a mate and 6 eggs some where. Well, I can wish!!!

Yes, I'm getting a bit bummed about the lack of babies, too, but remember that it took a few years for Mariah to find the nest box and claim it.

We really have no idea about Archer's schedule. So its hard to judge if he is late or not. One would think he should be coming soon. If I recall he showed up about the time my TV got back and they are not here yet (they are later than usual). So the weird weather may have thrown everyone off. I wish the males wouldn't migrate. It's so worry some.

There are quite a few sites this Spring suffering from a lack of tiercels...there seems to be an over abundance of females but not many males around.
