That really is wonderful news! So glad he has been seen!

Several great photos of SE17 have been posted, including a gorgeous close-up.

A new update on SE17, posted on November 2, with several photos:

SE17 - Found again during the lastest survey in the forest area. (Annual surveys in Spring at many sites at Sydney Olympic Park), looking a little forlorn behind wire fence.

He seems to be able to fly, but low as we have not seen him perched on any high branches.

Other pictures are from Monday - showing how hard he is to see. He was reported a few days earlier failing to land with dignity on a flimsy branch - settled for the salt marsh again.

Also posted on November 2, there are some beautiful photos of Lady, and a really good one of both parents.

The most recent update:

Today's update 14th December, 2016 with huge thanks again to Cathy Cook for her report and for making her way through the rugged terrain in this hot steamy Sydney day.

"Another hot day down by the river. I spotted SE17 in same area Judy saw him yesterday. I was on a high vantage point, too far for a good pic, but something is better than nothing Wink He was sitting out in the open and I'm delighted to say, he was not being harassed by any other birds! He was intently watching other birds as they were flying around the salt marsh. Dad & Lady were at RR trying to stay cool."

Good news; sounds as if SE17 is doing well.  happy

I read reports he was flying well and that someone saw his parents drop off food for him.
