9:02 am. I think it's the male that just went into the nest to cover the eggs. He was vocalizing at first. Now quiet. Still raining and foggy.

As per BCAW:  Mom is back and is okay.

Scratch my earlier comment, Chad confirmed to me he saw two females in the air early this morning.  He thinks she may have retreated as egg 3 is due.

I've been checking now and then all day. Seems quiet. Not like yesterday.

I couldn't see from work but since I've been home, it has been quiet and 'normal'.  I hope our Cadence is safe and has decided to find herself a better home  wub2

I was so afraid to look at this thread all day but I had to! Glad not much has happened since yesterday! Both gals are most likely exhausted! Just not worth it! (I hope).

Thanks girls for the info on this nest site!  Wink

One is sitting on the railing right now. Seems to be calm. I believe this is the resident female. Looks like the male attempted to mate with her, but she wasn't ready. Be safe wherever you are Cadence.  heart

8:36 am. Resident female pooped and jumped down from the railing to the front of the nest box. She started to vocalize then took off. Got a good look at the wound on her chest and couldn't see any fresh blood. Her left wing seems stronger and I can't see any injuries on her head or feet.

These are just my observations.

Hope all is well here, I get so nervous when I see a new post and so afraid to click on it!!

I'm sure Cadence is well and still out there, some where. This may not be over yet but praying  pray it is!

Betty Ann Kelly ยท Environmental Specialist at County of Union Dept Parks & Community Renewal
Resident female on railing. She has been incubating along with male. Male appears to have an injury right side/top of bill and seemed to have a slight limp. Female appears to be healing and looks better today. 2 hours ago
