The new Rfalconcam main camera has been installed by Shaky, Carol P, Dana, June, Jenny and Christina!

Nice looking camera!

Might I presume there's still some back-of-the-house configuration to be done before it goes live?

Shaky is working on it. Hopefully soon!

Well, I was hoping to start downloading still photos from the new Main Cam tonight, but it appears that we lost our Internet connection to the Time Square building a few minutes ago.

Yay, I get to go back tomorrow to figure out what happened.

Video from Main Cam is weeks away. It most likely will require new computers. The ones at TSB are not as powerful as the ones I have at home.

Yes, we zoomed in tight on Beauty and DC on the I-beam. The image was rock steady despite the wind thanks to image stabilization. We also zoomed in on Kodak Tower. We won't have any problems seeing falcons perched on the arch above the old nest box location.

A comparison of Main Camera to Camera 1

These were shot at about the same time. Look at the library and the building in the distance with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield logos.

The Internet connection is working again. It's too late to work on the stills. I'll start tomorrow.

Amazing difference! Glad you don't have to go back to TSB today.
