I just saw some sad news about one of our original Kodak falconcam watchers posted by her sister on facebook...
~~~~~~~~~~~~
My sister, Kapi (Reith), died last night in her sleep. She was a gifted educator and taught teachers how to teach reading at the college level before she retired several years ago. She lived alone in Rutland VT and claimed Vermont as her beloved home. Her animals were her passion throughout her life and she is survived by Sophie, a rescue toy poodle, Gareth, a bearded collie, and Zed her cat. Kapi believed in a world in unity. Rest in peace, Kapi.
She's the Vermonter with the "Kaver" license plate. We haven't seen her in person in many years, but she kept up with Beauty and Dot.ca through facebook. She will be missed by many!
Oh, no. Very sad indeed.
I had the pleasure of meeting Kapi on several watchers weekends and was inspired by her enthusiasm and support for M&K. She was a true animal lover.
Kapi also showed great strength an perseverance when her home was severely damaged by hurricane Irene in 2011. It was a very difficult time, but she got through it and made sure her animals were kept safe.
Now she joins some of our greatest falcon supporters. Fly free, Kapi.
I read of Kapi's passing with a very heavy heart. She was a huge Mariah & Kaver fan and had the Kaver NH license plate to prove it. She joined us for many falcon watch weekends over the years and we were always happy to see her. Sadly, we hadn't seen her in recent years.
Fly free Kapi! You will be missed my friend.Until we meet again.  Sad heart
