5/11/23 Nest Box Visits
Partly cloudy. High around 75F with winds W at 10 to 15 mph. Currently 52F and bright sunshine at 7:18 am.
Pigeon momma left the Powers nest box at 6:12 am while Neander was on the railing. She has not returned. Egg abandoned? Probably for the best.

Watching this morning's video, the pigeon left the nest box at 5:43, and it (or its mate) returned at 5:55 with Neander close behind. Oddly, he never looked in the nest box.

5/12/23 Nest Box Visits
Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High around 75F, although local weather has us going up into the low 80s, with winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.
Looks like Neander got some early morning time with his eyases, even a quick feed.
Neander looks like he's floating on a cloud!
Mom Nova's turn!
If you're wondering about the egg, the DEC will collect it on banding day, if they band this year. Hopefully they will.
Always on guard! I love the early morning black and white pics. So dramatic!
The eyases are spreading out and motivating. Way too soon!

Rpigeoncam report. Mrs. Pigeon laid her 2nd egg at the Powers nest box at 1:25 am.
