11/24/23 Falcon Pics and Observations

Frigid cold with snow flurries this morning. Currently 32F at 9:49 am.

Both Nova and Neander showed up early on the Wilder Chimney.

For awhile, there was a lot of smoke coming off the middle of the building. The falcons left and Neander returned after the smoke stopped. Whatever the smoke was, Nova and Neander didn't seem to like it.

12/2/23 Falcon Pics and Observations

Another rainy day at the nest box. Currently 43F at 7:21 am.

Haiku Time!  The Haiku is a Japanese poetic form that consists of 3 lines, with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second and 5 in the third. It's  been a long time since we had fun with Haikus!

Nova, Neander.
Waiting for Winter to end.
To fill the nest box.

Ok, that's really bad.  laugh Give it a try!

Both Nova and Neander arrived on the Wilder Chimney around 9 am.

I didn't try to write a falcon haiku, I did write a falcon haiku. Although it is self admittedly a very bad falcon haiku.
