8/31/26 Falcon Pics
Last day of August and Tsavorite is still here! He followed an adult, which based on size, I believe was Nova, to the nest box platform. . He stayed for awhile, visiting the boy cave and then leaving. The boys sometimes stay close to the nestsite longer than the females. We have not received any updates on Kodak.
Yesterday morning Larry O reported seeing a falcon hunting around the 5 Star Bldg. It was Tsavorite! He landed on top of a fire escape on the same bldg that Brian and I found an injured Mariah many years ago. Dana, Lou and I joined Larry O and Lola. After intently watching the pigeons moving around him, Tsavorite took off and landed on the 13th floor, NE corner of the 5 Star Bldg. He was surrounded by spikes meant to keep pigeons from landing on the windows, but that didn't bother him. He settled in for a nice preening session, with a very full crop. This is when Lou spotted Corazon on the big V on the west side of the 5 Star Bldg. This is where we left Tsavorite and Corazon at the end of our Sunday morning falcon watch.
Just a note that if Brian was still with us, he would have had an awesome view of Tsavorite, a name he chose, on the corner of the Five Star Bldg.
