Memorial Day is a day that is really honored in our family - Daddy died on Memorial Day in 1967, so it is very bittersweet.  Since he was a WWII Veteran, some of my earliest memories are of Mother and Daddy in the Memorial Day Parade in West Milford.  Today, my boss is one of the "crew chiefs" for lack of a better description for Rolling Thunder.  Not a day goes by that I don't stop and give Thanks for our freedom.  Lee Greenwood's, Proud to be American, is one of my favorites and it is one of 4 that I want played at my funeral. 

Happy Memorial Day to all and thank you all who have served - I am a greatful American.
