DandC    USGS says 5.5 magnitude earthquake in the Ontario-Quebec border region

Although not common, they do happen on the east coast.  One a few years back in the Columbia, MD reagion (north of DC) and about 20 years ago in the Hudson Valley region (some felt it in GWL, I felt nothing).  I think there was one not too long ago in Donna's neck of the woods, too.
