Yep, reports from Spencerport to Fairport coming in of the tremor.  USGS says it originated in Lake Champlain and affected most of New York, parts of Vermont and perhaps Canada as well.

Although not common, they do happen on the east coast.  One a few years back in the Columbia, MD reagion (north of DC) and about 20 years ago in the Hudson Valley region (some felt it in GWL, I felt nothing).  I think there was one not too long ago in Donna's neck of the woods, too.

People here reported that their computer was "jiggling"  for a few seconds.  We received an email from our district office.

USGS reports a 5.5 magnitude quake north of Ottowa, Ontario.  It affected most of New York and into Vermont:
