Bobbie Jeff is a friend of Donna's who went to Antarctica last year to build a runway and sent back lots of lovely pictures which Donna Shared with us check it out  http://rfalconcam.com/forum/index.php?topic=621.0  not sure what he is working on this year. But I hope he sends lots of pictures.

I'm so looking forward to Jeff's adventure again this season. 7 months of nothing but fun and great stories, OK and maybe some work. He was stuck in New Zealand for a few days because of bad weather but finally made it. He landed on his own runway he helped build..Pegasus. His C-17 was the first to land on that runway with night vision. Last year when he got there, the temps were 50 to 70 below. This time it was only 20 below, a bit warmer. That's even too cold for me and I love the cold. Hope to start the pics soon.

Can't wait to hear about Jeff's adventures this time around!  I looked forward to his pics last time and this year will be no exception.  I'm so glad he is willing to share his time with us!  Antarctica is MUCH too cold for me! shiver shiver shiver

Moi aussi! What an adventure... still... I think I would prefer the vagaries of the Irish winter to an Antarctic spring...

I always thought it to be one big piece of flat ice. I can't wait for more pics. They have bars and bowling alleys and movies....(who knew)?
