Thieves took copper from the new Brockport building (which is located at the Frontier parking lot where we looked at falcons on Xerox)

Pretty sad isn't it? Here we have people stealing Catalytic Converters from under cars just to get to that piece of copper core inside. Need to hit quite a few cars to get a pound of copper. Is it really worth it? If so, I'm in!  wave devil

Imagine being an independent plumber and driving around with all of the copper pipe!  Guys have been held up here in DC, but what else is new?

Now and then, the Darwin effect kicks in, and overzealous copper thieves, who aren't always the best prepared intellectually, get fried in the attempt.  This happens many times when some guy looks up at the miles of copper wire along the Railroad tracks, and thinks it would be easy picking surprise

There was a vacant house in either Rochester or Buffalo recently where thieves went in and stole all the copper leaving open lines causing gas to fill the entire house. When it was discovered, they had to evacuate homes in the immediate area for fear that it was going to blow before it could be safely vented. Very scary!

Now, this is a good thing AND we don't have to pay for 3 hots and a cot in jail!

Too bad it's located where it is-- with our cams, we could have seen it!

They have cameras all over the city.  Looks like they need some at the county office!
