Hi y'all!
For those of you keeping track of my sister's battle with breast cancer-she had her double mastectomy last Friday and came home Saturday. Her post op check up with the surgeon gave us all a start as he said 7 of the 8 lymph nodes he removed tested positive for cancer. He's confident he got it all and she will now have to get radiation treatments in a month (needs time to heal a bit first) as a precaution. So it's not smooth sailing quite yet but I have faith she'll get there!
This posting includes pics of pigs, chickens, a Red-shouldered Hawk, wildflowers, cows, goats, fish, cats and dogs. The temperature has been in the 90's with a heat index one day of 115 degrees! Shade has been the way to go for the wildlife around here and air conditioning for humans.
As I came home from one of my rides with the dogs we were greeted by all 4 of my sisters' cats and then I got a blurry pic of her 3 boxers. I got a pic of the strawberry moon and a partial sunset. The sun is huge here when it's setting.
I hope you enjoy my pics and videos as much as I enjoy sharing them with you! See ya!  wave

I'm sorry to hear about your sister's cancerous lymph nodes, but I think that's fairly common (at least I had them way back when). The surgeon sounds positive he got it all, so your sister should recover nicely despite having to go through radiation treatments. finch Tell her to hang in there! She must so appreciate your presence and support. I know how much you must miss being in Rochester during fledge time, but the young falcons can always use moral support even from long-distance.

I really enjoyed your photos and videos. You may be stuck there longer than expected, but at least it's a beautiful area with lots of interesting pets, flowers, and wildlife.

Hello MAK,Thanks for the update.I worked as a Cancer Nurse Specialist for 20 plus years and so i appreciate what your sister is going through.Hearing that she had positive nodes,I am sure, threw her for a loop but I know she is a fighter and will do all that is necessary to keep cancer at bay.No one can know what it is like for her in dealing with uncertainties, having a good oncology team along with family will give her the strength and courage to forge ahead. I am raising you all in prayer and asking our Heavenly Father to hear the intentions in all  of your hearts.  Carry on now!!!!  Keep your Humor as that is an important ingredient in healing as well.!!!

Love all the animal/bird videos.Beautiful of the horse, cattle especially.  Bye for now. wave  pray
