Now, how did I know I would hear from you?! Gotta love frogs. I fell in love when the wonderful Sir David was doing his seminal series, Life on Earth. I keep hoping for frog spawn in our pond but alas, not yet... and I will kiss them if they ever get here. Ireland is not big on frog spp. - only Common Frog and Natterjack Toad, the latter confined to sites in Kerry.

I loved catching frogs as a child! Didn't care for toads tho cuz they pee in your hand when you pick them up! My mom always had little tiny baby toads in her yard and when I mowed it they would hop along the tops of the grass to get away from the mower. Funny but instead of going to the side already cut they'd ALWAYS go to the uncut side so I'd have to wait for them to get out of the way before I could proceed.  Grin
