Yes, this is the metro NYC area and we do it up big here.  Funny I never noticed the roofing and siding before.

Yes, I want to do that and also install gutters and a garage door opener for the side of the box. A built-in pool and concrete pavers for the falcony with some tasteful landscaping would be nice too.

Donna, there are two very healthy eyases at 101 Hudson.  The third would not have been able to compete with the other two for food.  It is being checked.  That's all I know right now.  Nestbox News will have the official info.

Wow nice digs for your falcons! Did they get a grant or take out a home improvement loan?!  lol  gum

Yes, but those digs probably cost 100K to build down there!  It could be built for a fraction of that cost up here!  Love those shingles.   And a duck pond while we are at it would be nice for the residents!

Sounds great, any donors for all these improvements? I'll caulk and paint the nest box!  wave

Our eyas has splayed legs and is getting treatment. There is hope that it will have some kind of falcon life. When Kathy was taking it on Saturday we expected the worst.  So this was very good news to hear.

The other two eyases remain healthy with one being the bully and always taking the food first. No one will mess with her when she grows up.

I was down on Saturday morning and got to see both adults flying and perched on 101 Hudson.  Hopefully the building tenants will name the birds this year.  I want to name our hospital bird Rocky because he is such a fighter.

The birds are 42 floors up and I am two blocks away using my SLR with 300 Prime lens, no teleconverter.

I heard from Dr. Erica Miller at Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research Group  She will send another picture on Thursday:

Bonnie,

Thank you for the generous donation that just arrived in today's mail! This will buy a lot of quail--and the eyas is certainly eating a lot! As you can see from the photo below, his feet are finally beginning to grow!
