Check out the video!
Just putting this under this thread.
Preventive removal falcons of the Champlain Bridge!
They removed the eggs and hope the pair will nest in another location with a nest box.
OK, it's the same thing I posted here! Guess their not protected at this site!

As per the article, they removed the eggs and placed them in an incubator. They've put in 'dummy' eggs for the falcons. They dont' mention if they will return the hatchlings to them once the eggs hatch - they could move the chicks to the nest box once hatched and the parents would find them. I know that's been done out in Edmonton in the past quite successfully.

If the couple adopt their new nest the real eggs will replace the dummy. If dont, the eggs will stay in incubator till hatching and placed in another nest to be adopted by an other couple.
Here in MTL we will have for many, many, many years of demolition and construction of the «« échangeur Turcot »» and a new Champlain bridge. They announce 2020 !!!!!!......... I bet 3 to 5 years more

From the blog today; I translated it from the French. It's great news that Spirit (born in 2004 at the Hilliard Road Bridge nest in Cleveland) and her unbanded mate Roger have at least one chick!

First hatch(es) of 2013
What good news on this Mother's Day 2013! Looking at the cameras this morning, I observed the first bringing of food to the nest. That is a sign that there is at least one little chick to feed, because before hatching begins the adults never eat in the nest . . .
Here is a video of what took place:

The nest was built in the middle of a construction area.
