Any ideas? Is the transmitter still working? Looks like a wooded area in Toronto. Hope she's OK.

If her transmitter did stop, will someone go out and look for it or her?

The points aren't actually exactly the same.  But it makes me wonder if she's nesting...females don't seem to travel far from home at egg time.

Is it possible she's brooding eggs? After all, the transmitter does not transmit constantly, but at intervals, and if she is leaving the nest only briefly to hunt, while a partner takes over, that might not show up on the transmitter info.

Yes, I noticed that they were all in the same area, so it's good she's moving, somewhat. Eggs are a good thing, if she settled. Still want to know!  Wink There must be someone in that area that can check. I know Joyce would if she had coordinates!

Hi gang..I did post to the KFalcon site as follows:
Well knock me over with a feather. Ive already contacted Mark Nash at The Canadian Peregrine Foundation, who will dispatch someone to the area within a day or 2. Here is the reason Im abit taken
aback! Only today I got a message from Mark which had been sent to him:
"Subject: Duncan Mill Road Toronto
Not sure if this is useful, but I saw and heard a very vocal peregrine this
morning sitting about 4 or 5 stories up on a southeast corner ledge of the
building at 220 Duncan Mill Road in Toronto (west of Don Mills Road) at about
9:00 am. I don't do much birding these days, but I'd have said it was a large
one.
Is this a nest site?
A Dale

BIGFRANK's NOTE:It looks like someone has seen Quest! I punched in for directions to Quests co-ordinates,and they came up with Duncan Mill Road! We will of course keep you
updated.

Thank you, BIGFRANK.  Isn't this fairly close to several sites in North York where peregrines have historically nested?

Anyone up for a trip to Toronto to find Quest?  How exciting!  My gps "Stella" doesn't find places by
longitude /latitude, but maybe I can download an app for my phone?

Edit: replaced photo with correct pic of building ~Joyce

From Mark Nash of Canadian Peregrine Foundation:
Hi Frank
Just received a telephone call from Bruce who is now at the Don Mills site and can confirm that two peregrines are visible, one is a satellite tagged bird, and both birds are very much alive and well.   It is very probable that the satellite tagged pefa is Quest!
He is now pursuing the contact information that we were provided in an effort to gain access to their suite to see if he can get better visuals from this higher elevation.

Hey BIG FRANK - Thanks so much for the feedback!!  Does Bruce take pictures?  Nothing like being a very excited, anxious group!
