With most of the Rochester juveniles migrating to Canada, it's good that some are going in the opposite direction. Good to hear Luna is doing well on her own!

Bands in view as she flew over me: Y/69 black/black... Luna from the Don Mills site in Toronto, Canada. — at Avon Lake, Avon Lake, Ohio.

...and Regal swiftly darted over her as Luna flipped in defense... — at Avon Lake, Avon Lake, Ohio.

Don't worry, all the juvies do this and learn their lesson.  Our Marla did the same thing a few years ago when C&C spotted her down there, she even got in a tussle with Rocky but survived it and went on to find her own nest a year later.

She's young and curious that's all and looks like she defended herself admirably!  I've personally never heard of adults hurting or killing a juvie.

There's a nice write-up on Harlequin today summing up the end of this season with a surprising update about Kendal!  He's been released from TWC and is in the care of CPF!

Just wanted to share some recent pictures, including a few photos from our visit to Quest and the male falcon that was with her when we went up this past weekend.  I managed to get a shot of the ID on the male, however, I don't know if the identity has been confirmed.  Also included in the album is a picture of the falcon we saw at the Burlington bridge site. (Cool lift bridge.). There's also a few pictures of a juvie Bald Eagle and some neat close-ups of a Red Tail hawk

I can't open the album here at work, but this is the ID post from CPF...

Bruce was able to confirm by the band number, recorded as being Black 50 over X that the new male has been identified as being a bird named Skye, who was produced at the Etobicoke Bloor and Islington nest in 2011 and is on site courting her.

Really nice pics Louigi! I especially like the last pic of the RTH. Love it when they seem to look right at the camera and/or whoever is taking the shot of them!  clap

Awesome Lou!  Love the shots of the juvie Bald Eagle.  The shot was so goood, one could almost read its band!
