quick notice to let everyone know that has been following and watching Quest and Kendals nest site that on Friday morning, and throughout the day, the window washers will be on site to set up the swing stage and other equipment necessary to facilitate access to the nest ledge on Tuesday for the banding.
While you might see ropes hanging in front of the nest ledge, they will not casse any harm to the birds. The ropes will be nothng more than a temporary distraction from their duties.. Quest and Kendal will settle back into thier regular routines as soon as the window washers stage is set up and the human activity is off the roof area.
It is necessary to set most of this equipment up well in advacence to ensure that everything is working fine prior to the day of the banding. Any unknown equipment challenges on Tuesday would cause un-necessary delays and/or cancellation of the banding altogether.

has anyone been in touch with the Harlequin or CPF people? I'm sure they are aware of it.
Maybe there is building maintenance being done ? Poor Quest.
I don't think anyone is suppose to do anything unless CPF is notified. After all, Quest and family are protected! That's what I thought, Donna. Could it be an early preparation for Tuesday's banding? Maybe they are trying to acclimate Quest to "things" that are coming? Hopefully, they wouldn't spook her twice like that. Where's all the contacts? Isn't Carol P in contact with someone at Harlequin? I am, but have no internet access at work. Didn't receive any texts or phone calls, so this is the first I've heard about it. |

I am, but have no internet access at work. Didn't receive any texts or phone calls, so this is the first I've heard about it. Oh dear-I didn't know you were off line at work! And I don't have your phone #! Can you get RFC now tweets on your phone at work? If so, I'll post something there if something like this happens again. All's well that ends well... |

 All is good with Quest and Harlie. Quest has fed Harlie twice tonight. Harlie is going to have to be air-lifted out of the nest/scrape  That's what the heavy rope is for!!!  |
