Okay, now where have I seen this before? The youngster is on his back and Dad brought food. However, Dad doesn't seem particularly interested in feeding him right now, and since he was just hatched within the last few hours, he doesn't need to eat right away. Mom left. Poor kid, but I think he'll be okay.

Mom's back and there's a possible pip in one of the other two eggs. Oh, it would be nice to watch more than one eyas in this nestbox!

I now see three pieces of shell scattered about, and I know she has a piece of shell under her, so I think there has been a second hatch.
