KALAMAZOO — An emaciated snowy owl collapsed Monday at the Kalamazoo /Battle Creek International Airport, and was retrieved, dead, by the airport employees who had so cheerfully accommodated the visitor from the Arctic Circle during its brief stay here.   Sad

Sadly thats not uncommon. Sometimes the owls make a non-stop trip to where U find them and arrive almost starved to death. It is one reason even as someone who loves to see and get photos of these beautiful creatures that we must give them their space, particularily when they first arrive. They need to be able to hunt without being bothered. Our mere prescence can sometimes add stress. Get out and enjoy the sighting of one of these great owls but be careful.
